I have lived in the Baltimore area most of my life. I attended Padonia Elementary, Chinquapin Middle School and Northern High School. While at Northern, I was the President of the Student Government Association which sparked my interests in politics. Following graduation my family moved to Perry Hall and I attended Towson University where I earned my B.S. in Political Science while working full time at Caldor as a Customer Service Manager and then a Department/Area Manager.
I have been married to my husband Bill for 35 years and we have two wonderful children. My husband grew up in Rodgers Forge and graduated from Towson High School and attended Catonsville Community College before serving in the Army during the VietNam Era. We have lived in Fellowship Forest for over 30 years. I have served in the Fellowship Forest Community Association as Secretary, Social Chair, Block Captain and Newsletter Editor. My children attended Pleasant Plains Elementary, Loch Raven Academy and Towson High School. I was an active member of the PTA, room mother and committee chair for numerous events. I was also very active for Boy Scout Troop #746 in Fullerton serving as a Committee Member, Merit Badge Counselor for Citizenship in the Community, Nation and World as well as the coordinator for the annual food drive for needy families. I have been the office manager for Robert C. Mand, PT, PA for more than 25 years.
I am running for County Executive because I want to give back to my community. What makes Baltimore County so special is its people! I want more transparency and accountability from our county officials with open and honest discussion about the issues and problems we face. People in Baltimore County need a voice. I would like to be their voice! Together we can make Baltimore County a place that we are all proud to call home.

As County Executive, I would strive to make Baltimore County Schools the best in the nation, with:
Crime in Baltimore County is out of control!
Baltimore County needs:
Our officers need to know that the residents of Baltimore County stand with them and that we appreciate the difficult and dangerous job they perform.
They need to know that they have our support!
We all know that Baltimore County is funded by our tax dollars. Those dollars go to supply services that are needed in our community. As Baltimore County Executive I would:
We cannot afford higher taxes. We are already losing our tax base (especially our elderly) to other states and counties that are more tax friendly.
